The Best Motorcycle Trailers 2026

the best motorcycle trailers trinity mt3 rated #1

Updated September 2026 with current prices. Every motorcycle trailer below now comes with caster wheels for upright storage.

Sooner or later every rider needs to move a bike without riding it. Maybe it's broken down, maybe you're hauling two bikes to the track, or maybe you're moving across the state.

Renting works once. If you tow more than a couple times a year, owning a folding trailer is cheaper. It also stands up in the corner of your garage when you're not using it.

Below are the four folding trailers we sell out of Santa Fe Springs, CA. You'll see real prices, real capacities, and exactly what your truck or SUV needs to pull each one.

Quick comparison: 2026 prices and specs

Trailer Best for Trailer only Complete Haul Package Load capacity Empty weight
Alpha Sport (single rail) 1 cruiser, bagger, or touring bike $2,699 $3,499 1,300 lb 300 lb
Freestyle (3-rail) 1–3 dirt bikes, sport bikes, scooters $2,899 $3,699 1,500 lb 380 lb
Trinity MT3 (3-rail) 2 cruisers or 3 dirt bikes $3,299 $4,099 2,000 lb 475 lb
Endeavor (6'×9' deck) Trikes, Can-Am Spyders, ATVs, side-by-sides $3,199 $3,999 2,000 lb 530 lb

All four fold for storage and ship fully assembled, ready to tow. Prices are for gloss black. Custom powder-coat colors cost extra. California buyers pay a $130 registration and documentation fee, and we handle the DMV side for you.

What to look for in a motorcycle trailer

1. Load capacity that covers your bikes

Add up the weight of every bike you plan to haul, plus gear. A full-size bagger usually runs 800–900 lb, and a dirt bike runs roughly 220–260 lb. Stay under the trailer's rated capacity with some room to spare.

2. Hitch and wiring your vehicle already has

Every trailer on this list needs the same three things: a 2" ball, a Class II or higher hitch, and a 4-pin flat light connector. Most midsize SUVs and trucks already have them or can add them cheaply.

Hitch class Typical max gross trailer weight Works with these trailers?
Class I Up to 2,000 lb No — all four require Class II or higher
Class II Up to 3,500 lb Yes
Class III Up to 8,000 lb Yes
Class IV / V 10,000 lb and up Yes

Gross trailer weight means the trailer plus everything on it. For example, a Trinity MT3 (475 lb) carrying two 800 lb cruisers weighs about 2,075 lb total, which fits comfortably on a Class II hitch. Always check the rating on your hitch label and your vehicle's towing capacity.

3. Loading you can do alone

Look for low-angle ramps and a front wheel chock. The chock holds the bike upright while you strap it down, which is what makes one-person loading realistic.

4. Storage when you're not towing

A standard flatbed eats a full parking spot. A stand-up trailer folds and rolls into a corner on caster wheels, so you don't need a storage lot, street parking, or an argument with the HOA.

5. Versatility

The best trailers do more than haul motorcycles. Removable rails or a flat deck let the same trailer move a quad, a golf cart, or a load of yard gear.

1. Alpha Sport single rail — best for one full-size bike

Alpha Sport single-rail stand-up motorcycle trailer with black alloy wheels

$2,699 trailer only · $3,499 Complete Haul Package

  • 1,300 lb capacity, 300 lb empty
  • Three 11" × 42.5" ramps, used side by side or combined
  • Folds from 117" to 85" and rolls upright on casters
  • Torsion axle, 13" aluminum wheels, radial tires

Pick this if: you haul one Harley, Gold Wing, or bagger and want the smallest storage footprint.

You ride the bike straight up the ramp and into the front wheel chock with no lifting. The three ramps can be spread apart or combined into one wide ramp, depending on tire width.

I purchased the Tow Smart motorcycle trailer for one bike after looking at other manufacturers online. It was quick to see that Tow Smart offered the best value. The trailer comes standard with upgraded wheels and radial tires which is a $400 option with other manufacturers. The trailer also folds up nicely and stores upright in the garage without taking space.Joe K., Alpha Sport owner

Trade-off: it carries one bike only.

2. Freestyle 3-rail — best for dirt bikes and sport bikes

Freestyle three-rail stand-up dirt bike trailer

$2,899 trailer only · $3,699 Complete Haul Package

  • 1,500 lb capacity, 380 lb empty
  • Three rails with adjustable wheel chocks
  • 52" × 70" deck, long low-angle ramp
  • Folds to 87" and stores standing up

Pick this if: you ride motocross or trails and haul one to three lighter bikes.

Each rail has its own adjustable chock, so you can mix a dirt bike, a sport bike, and a scooter on one trailer. The low loading angle makes it easy for riders of any experience level.

Trade-off: it's lighter-duty than the MT3. If you haul two heavy cruisers, step up to the Trinity.

3. Trinity MT3 — best all-around multi-bike trailer

Trinity MT3 three-rail stand-up motorcycle trailer with silver wheels

$3,299 trailer only · $4,099 Complete Haul Package

  • 2,000 lb capacity, 475 lb empty
  • Hauls 2 full-size cruisers or 3 dirt bikes
  • Remove the rails for a flat 5' × 7' deck
  • Stands 94.5" tall, 86" wide, 27.5" deep when folded

Pick this if: you ride with a partner, own more than one bike, or want one trailer for bikes and everything else.

The MT3 comes with two ramp options and three adjustable chocks that fit almost any wheelbase. Pull the rails and it becomes a flat utility deck for a quad, golf cart, or cargo. The torsion axle keeps it steady even when you tow it empty.

Purchased the 3-bike trailer to tow some dual-sports around. Works like a champ! Fits the bikes perfectly and I have gotten a lot of compliments and inquiries on the trailer. Customer service from these guys is awesome. They came in on the weekend so I could pick it up!Julie K., Trinity MT3 owner

Trade-off: it's the heaviest of the three motorcycle trailers, though still light enough for most midsize SUVs.

4. Endeavor 6'×9' — best for trikes, Spyders, and ATVs

Endeavor folding 6 by 9 utility trailer carrying a trike

$3,199 trailer only · $3,999 Complete Haul Package

  • 2,000 lb capacity, 530 lb empty
  • 6' × 9' steel mesh deck, 14" deck height
  • Two 48" × 13" ramps included
  • Folds from 151" to 108" long

Pick this if: you ride a trike or Can-Am Spyder, or need to haul ATVs, side-by-sides, and bikes on one deck.

The wide, open deck handles three-wheelers that won't fit a rail trailer. It also carries two full-size quads behind a small SUV, and it still folds down for storage.

Trade-off: it's the longest when folded, so measure your garage before ordering.

Trailer only vs. Complete Haul Package

Every trailer comes two ways. Trailer only includes a 6-month warranty. The Complete Haul Package costs $800 more and extends coverage to 2 years.

The package also adds a matching spare tire, heavy-duty tie-down straps, replacement lights, a vehicle light adapter, a removable jack stand made in our shop, and a storage bag. Bought separately, those items cost more than $800 in our store.

Choose trailer only if you already own straps and spares. Everyone else is better off with the package.

Frequently asked questions

Can one person load a motorcycle alone?

Yes. All four trailers use low-angle ramps, and the motorcycle trailers use front wheel chocks, so you can ride or walk the bike up and strap it without help.

Do these trailers come assembled?

Yes. They leave our Santa Fe Springs plant fully assembled and ready to tow. Hook up to a 2" ball, plug in the 4-pin flat connector, and go.

What vehicle do I need to tow one?

Most midsize SUVs and trucks with a Class II or higher hitch can pull any of these trailers. Confirm your vehicle's towing capacity before you buy.

Which trailer fits two Harleys?

The Trinity MT3. It's rated for 2,000 lb and fits two full-size cruisers on its outer rails.

Will a stand-up trailer fit in my garage?

Usually, yes. The MT3 folds to 94.5" tall and 27.5" deep, and the Alpha Sport folds to 85" long. Both roll on caster wheels while standing upright.
